Saratoga Springs Wedding| Rohit & Mohini

Just like thousands of other professionals, I was impacted by the COVID 19 ordeal as well. Thankfully, not for long. Although a majority of my clients either canceled or postponed their celebrations. I had a steady influx of requests during these critical times.

Indian weddings in the USA, unlike in the homeland, are still small-scaled; the invitations don't go out to the weakest links but only to the strongest ties. But the Rona virus slashed that and made it even smaller. Bigger venues started losing revenue and all of a sudden AirBnbs were in demand for a completely different reason.

Sometime in the middle of June, I was contacted by Rohit (the groom) through my website. One thing that surely caught my attention was how detailed he was in describing his vision and requirements. It always helps me when people know what they want. A few emails later, we setup a zoom call where the couple interviewed me and I explained my style of work at length. My companion-in-chief made his entry and tilted the bride's scale towards me.

The venue was chosen to be the Saratoga Springs Events & Weddings in Saratoga, CA. A week before, I paid a visit to the venue along with my team to figure out logistics. We wanted to do a dry run because we never shot before and it was unfamiliar territory. It was good we made that trip because we realized the sunlight fades much sooner than we expect and that the wifi connection is super weak for live streaming. So, we made arrangements accordingly for the D day.

It was really fun working with Rohit and Mohini, they were very cooperative and practiced all safety measures as needed.
